Challenge
Executive committee of an asset manager required a management information system to have a better transparency and accountability on the achievement of defined goals and aspiration levels.
The solution should provide quarterly early warnings to enable Senior Executives to take adequate measures to close gaps between strategic planning and actual business development in a timely manner.
Solution
A Business Scorecard reporting was conceptualised and implemented to apply a Balanced Scorecard framework specific to the asset manager’s needs in order to track the level of its target achievement by a qualitative assessment.
The scorecard was designed as a dashboard to give an overview on key performance indicators related to five different dimensions. In order to compare the level of target achievement without displaying specific absolute performance figures, the five dimensions and the normalized values of target achievement were represented in a radar chart.
Benefits
Conceptualised, introduced, and implemented a business scorecard reporting specific to the needs of an asset manager and defined the required changes to the underying OLAP cubes.
Provided the Executive Committee with an enhanced management information system to get a more holistic view of KPI performance and goal achivement within the organisation.
